Founded
in 1996, Software
Management Solutions (SMS)
was established as a provider of high-level software
development consulting and training services. The
experience and knowledge of SMS consultants allowed
them to better understand its clients' needs in
a way most staffing firms cannot. In 1998, the opportunity
presented itself to SMS to staff one of its client's
software development projects. SMS was able to deliver
the needed expertise with keen precision and speed
aided by its vast network of consultants. The success
of SMS in staffing this project was evident by the
fact that most of these consultants remained on
that project for over four years, which is unusually
high in the IT industry.
SMS continued to refine its full time and contract
staffing services over the years and expanded its
services in many areas headed by specialized practice
area managers. In 2004, and as a result of the continued
success of the staffing services, SMS gave its staffing
services its own identity by creating the SMS Staffing
Solutions division. Now, SMS Staffing Solutions
enjoys the proven reputation and image earned by
SMS, and is able to leverage the skills, knowledge,
and expertise of SMS consultants in understanding
its clients' needs and delivering the needed skills
